Swimmers of the Month - October 2025
1 Axel Hoffman - a second year swimmer, Axel joined the club as a Mini last season. Moving up in the ranks, he is now dominating as a Class 1, learning things and getting faster.
1.5 Gabby de Luca - joined the club last year as a Mini, and began training with the Class 1’s last winter, Gabby attends TriDuel Meets regularly, and began attending Regional meets last spring. As a Class 1.5 he can always be counted on to know what set we are supposed to be doing AND he can keep track of how many lengths we’ve completed. He’s developing a really nice butterfly, and is a steadying presence and quiet leader in the group.
2 Sumi Lee Sharp - yet another second year swimmer, Sumi has made massive strides since she joined the club. She had a fantastic meet this past weekend, including mastering the intricacies of breaststroke, doing actual dives off the starting blocks, and taking off ridiculous numbers of seconds in her 50’s and 100’s.
3 Grady Chow - he’s been swimming with the club off and on since 2022, but I feel like this year might be his year. He has a powerful breaststroke, a smooth strong freestyle, and his butterfly has improved to the point where he’s going to have a formidable 200 IM. A kid to watch.
456 Kate Danielle - Kate has been with the club since she was too little to even swim, as her big sister was also a member. I’ve watched her grow up, and last season she began working as a junior coach. She is patient and stubborn, attributes that when found together combine to create a person who can achieve anything they set their mind on. And at the recent Prince Rupert meet, in October, at 15 years of age, she went seven for seven best times!!! (IYKNK) Congratulations Kate, you EARNED this.
