Program Information
The group is the entry level to our pre-competitive swimming program. This group has a strong focus on basic stroke skills, safety and helping children gain more confidence in the water. We encourage swimmers at this level to attend our in house dual meets to test their new stroke skills. Swimmers will graduate into the novice group once they have achieved the required skills.
Program Days: 2 group options are available this season
- Tuesday/Thursday afternoons at Earl Mah Aquatic Centre (2 times available)
Program Information:
- Two weekly swimming sessions.
- Invited to attend quarterly dual meets.
Prerequisites: Coach assessment
Required Equipment: Goggles, proper swim suit (no bikinis or board shorts), swim cap is optional
Costs:
Annual: $48 SwimBC Insurance (taken in September)
Monthly: 1st of each Month - October through June
- Mini-Rapids - $43 per month
- Class 1 - $71 per month
- Class 1.5 - $81 per month
Fundraising levy: Maximum $480 annually ($160 taken Dec 15, Mar 15, June 15) - can be reduced by participation in fundraisers

The PRASC Competitive programs are based upon the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) strategy created by Swimming/Natation Canada. All PRASC coaches are trained and certified with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
The PRASC competitive swim groups include:
- Class 2: 3 water sessions per week
- Class 3: 3 - 4 water sessions per week
- Class 4: 4 water sessions per week
- Class 5: 5 - 6 water sessions per week
- Class 6: up to 9 water sessions per week
Program Days: options are available this season
- Monday /Wednesday/Friday afternoons - Class 2 (75 minutes each)
- Monday /Wednesday/Friday afternoons - Class 3 (75 minutes each) - upon invitation by the Coach also Saturday
- Monday /Wednesday/Friday afternoons (2 hours each) + Saturday (2.5 hours) - Class 4
- Monday to Friday afternoons + Saturday (2.5 hours) - Class 5
- Monday to Friday afternoons + Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat mornings (18.25 hours) - Class 6
Program Information:
- Up to 9 practices per week
- Participation in dual, local, regional, provincial and national meets (depending upon level)

Annual: $101 to $205 SwimBC Insurance (taken in September)

- Class 3 - $120 per month
- Class 4 - $157 per month
- Class 5 - $174 per month
- Class 6 - $201 per month

The Masters level is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 years or teen age swimmers who want to swim for fitness or cross train for other sports. Swimmers in this group are not required to compete, but will have the option to do so if interested. Swimmers will be given coached swim workouts and tips to improve their technique and endurance.
Practice Options: (swimmers can choose 1 - 3 practices per week).
- Monday (6:00-7:30am or 6:00-7:00pm)
- Wednesday (6:00-7:30am or 6:00-7:00pm)
- Friday (6:00-7:30am or 6:00-7:00pm)
Please Note: Conditioning and Technique is not available during July and August.
Required Equipment: Cap, Goggles, proper suit (no bikinis or board shorts)
Costs:
Annual: $49 Swim BC (taken in September)
Monthly: 1st of each Month - October through June

- $10.00 per session (blocks of 10 tickets) - Drop ins
